VPN Setup for Linux

1. Install the required packages

network-manager-strongswan

libcharon-extra-plugins

The rest should install automatically as dependencies.

On apt systems like Ubuntu or Debian you can use the following command:

apt install -y network-manager-strongswan  libcharon-extra-plugins 

2. Add the VPN connection:

3. Choose the VPN connection type  IPsec/IKEv2

4. Use following parameters for VPN connection:

Connection name → QArea

Address → vpn.qarea.org

Username → domain username

Password → domain password

5. Enable option Request an inner IP address:

6. Now you can start the QArea VPN connection:
